We had our pre-construction meeting today. Brian was sick last night and today but I am so glad he still came! I couldn't have done it without him. It went really well and we got lots of information. I asked all the questions I could think of! We found out that they wont be starting our house tomorrow, it was pushed back to next Wednesday. =( This is because of the dirt on our lot. It kind of made me mad because we have signed a while back and the dirt was on the lot. They never said anything about it pushing our start date back. Well now we are supposed to close middle of June. We are hoping for it to be finished a little early because the wedding is June 11th. But hey, what can we do?
We have our meeting with Guardian next week, I know late huh? They didn't call us...so I contacted our sales rep and they finally contacted us. I'm excited to choose the things from them! Any suggestions on that meeting?
We really really like our PM and he said we can call him anytime to come look at our house! That is good news because I already go there almost everyday and the house isn't even started! The dirt is supposed to be off completely by the end of the week. I can't wait. Here is pictures of the lot today. I'm hoping Friday when I go back, the lot looks completely different!
In other news, we are cake testing this Saturday and I cannot wait!!
Yikes that will be a busy time for you guys! I'm glad we were able to split it up a little bit...now that the house stuff is done, I can dedicate the next three months to our wedding. You will be going so crazy doing it all at the same time! Good luck :) Also-don't go cake tasting on an empty stomach! Ugh I felt so gross after we went!

ReplyDeleteDouble yikes about closing being so close to the wedding. I hope it's done in enough time for you to enjoy the few moments leading up to the wedding. It takes forever for the day to come, but just like with building the house, it's here and gone before you know it.
