Choosing our upgrades...

This was an exciting, yet stressful time because upgrades can get expensive! After much deliberation, we decided on the following upgrades...
Double Sinks in the master bath, Upgraded master bath, finished basement, morning room, recessed lights in the kitchen, recess lights in the basement, fireplace, and plumbing rough in(for a bathroom later in the basement). We chose to do the loft instead of the 4th bedroom.

We also chose the colors of the outside of our house. We went with Scheme S-16. Siding- Taupe siding, white accent trim, brick shadow front door, and georgetown green shutters.

Here is a picture of the florence, we are getting Elevation B with an all siding front:

Here is our colors, however the camera and printer distorts the colors a little...but at least it gives an idea.

Sienna or Florence on Lot 31!

Brian and I had come to Ryan Homes with the intention of getting the Sienna. However, we looked at both the houses to compare. The prices were not that much difference so we had a decision to make. I was happy with the Sienna, but after walking through the model home (a florence) we decided the florence was the model we wanted. There were so many extras the florence offered... 9 foot ceilings, 42'' cabinets, the option for double sinks in the master bath, a loft/4th bedroom, a living/dining room, and main floor laundry in the mud room.

As well as deciding which house, we also put a hold on the lot! Lot 31! This is one of three lots left! Our lot is close to the back of the neighborhood on the left side. We are close to the forest retention area. The only drawback, there is a huge dirt pile on our lot right now! As you can see...

Our decision to build a Ryan home...

At the beginning of our house hunt, I had found a new neighborhood Bay View Woods online and it wasn't even being advertised yet. We searched everywhere for it and finally found it! They weren't even selling yet, so we waited. When they started selling, we stopped in and got some information. We weren't serious about buying then so we just got information and looked around.
A few months ago, we started to get more serious. We have been looking for houses for a couple months now. We found a couple that we liked but none that we were in love with. After establishing credit and meeting with a mortgage company, we felt comfortable.
We finally decided to go to the model home in Bay View Woods again. We immediately knew this was the choice for us! We had loved this neighborhood from the beginning! We talked with the sales rep and got more information. The next step was to decide if we wanted the sienna or the florence?
